More than just one of the Big 5, Chukuru was born to inspire South Africans and their Olympic team while also drawing the world’s attention onto rhino poaching in South Africa using the Olympics as a platform.

Supporting conservation. Supporting our Olympic team.

Chukuru not only supports the conservation of rhinos, he also supports the hopes and dreams of South African athletes and fans. He was designed to look the part with five Olympic rings around his horn created from Ndebele beads. They represent a sense of unity and belonging – all of which speak to the spirit of the Olympics.
